Hotel Review: Grosvernor House Suites, Mayfair.

Last Valentine’s day I had the luxury of being treated to a dinner at The Gilbert Scott first, followed by a stay at the Grosvenor House Suites, a luxury hotel in Mayfair. Like the Student Hotel Amsterdam, you can also live in this hotel but that wouldn’t be so friendly to the average bank account.

We stayed in the One Bedroom Park Suite made up of a living room which joins into a mini kitchen, then a bedroom with a walk in bathroom. One of the main things I loved about the room was the bathroom (comprising of an open shower and bathtub). The toilet was in a separate room, which I tend to prefer.

When we arrived in the suite the first thing we did was sit down on the sofa. We quickly realised that the television in our room wasn’t working. It couldn’t pick up any channels, so we called the reception and they were extremely helpful and sent an engineer straight away. He fiddled around with it for a while before saying that the television must be faulty. He offered to either get our room changed or get a free bottle of wine. We choose the free bottle of wine, why watch TV when we can enjoy each other 😉 After the engineer left we continued speaking on the sofa looking out of the window, appreciating Hyde Park from another level. The bedroom consisted of a large bed, the sheets were so thick I can’t remember falling asleep I just woke up #sleptlikealog. In the morning I got to try out the bathroom which was a lovely dark marble. There were a bath and a shower, I choose to use the shower. When we were dressed, we checked out.

When we were dressed and ready to go, we checked out. The receptionist was extremely friendly commenting on the flowers I received. Overall it was an amazing stay and I would recommend it to anyone. Due to how expensive it is, I don’t think I’ll be going back anytime soon.
